Officers were notified of an unruly person at Good Samaritan Hospital and, when they arrived, saw that the man had damaged a security device valued at over $1,500.
It was discovered that the man had a long criminal record, including prior arrests and convictions for assault, petty larceny and criminal trespass.
He was transferred to the Rockland County Jail.
